Clinics & Services
In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a range of clinics and services:
Diabetic Clinic
A diabetic clinic is carried out by a fully trained practice nurse. Appointments can be made by telephone or at reception. You may be asked to attend this clinic for review of diabetes and related health issues.
Cervical Screening Clinic
Cervical screening is offered to ladies aged 25-64 years. Appointments can be arranged by our receptionists with one of our practice nurses or our Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
The central screening office will notify you when your screening is due.
Family Planning
The Practice provides a comprehensive range of contraceptive services including implants and intrauterine devices. Please ask for information from your Nurse or Doctor.
Minor Surgery
The Doctors provides a minor surgery service, appointments are available on request.
Drug Monitoring Clinic
The practice runs its own warfarin clinic and also monitors specialised drugs initiated in hospital that require regular blood checks. Details available on request.
Travel Vaccinations
Some NHS holiday vaccinations may be organised by the practice nurse. You may be advised to contact a local pharmacy or travel clinic for advice about travel vaccinations. Some travel vaccines are only available privately, they can be ordered by your local pharmacy, but there will be a cost for this service.
Pharmacist Lead Hypertension Clinic
We run a Pharmacist Lead Hypertension Clinic once weekly on a Friday. You may be invited to attend this clinic for blood pressure management.
Baby Immunisation Clinic
The Practice runs a baby immunisation clinic once a week. Please contact the Surgery well in advance to make a pre-bookable appointment. Immunisations are administered by our practice nurse.
Other Services
A wide range of services are provided by the practice including antenatal and postnatal care.
